Kiggelaria africana

A well-shaped, dense, low-branching tree with smooth grey bark that roughens with age. Leaves are glossy green above and grey-green, hairy below. Tiny bell-shaped, yellow-green flowers are borne in clusters; male and female flowers are on separate trees. Fruits are small grey-green capsules that split open to reveal seeds with a bright orange coating.
