Cussonia spicata

A medium-sized evergreen tree with a much-branched, rounded crown. Bark is grey and corky. Leaves are large, up to 70 cm long, twice digitate with 5-9 primary divisions, each further divided; petiolules often broadly winged. Flowers are small, yellowish-green, in terminal umbels of thick-set spikes resembling candelabras. Fruits are angular, purple-brown, 4-6 mm in diameter.
